EAL Coordinator at St George’s C of E Foundation School, Broadstairs.

As an EAL coordinator in a secondary school, I have a large number of EAL pupils with very varied needs ranging from debutant to fluent. The Text Tutor tool has been invaluable to me in providing differentiated, translated resources for each pupil which I can then tailor to their individual needs as well as facilitating contact with parents. This vital tool enables each pupil to access the content of lessons when I am not there to help them. I have used it to translate keywords and instructions in many languages and in every secondary subject. This then enables EAL pupils to become more independent in their learning.
